ART DIRECTOR
Gamelion, the biggest independent mobile game studio in Europe, well known for its creativity, quality and coolness, is looking for ART DIRECTOR for its Studios in Szczecin, Poland. We appreciate devotion, experience and ambition.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Astute sense of creativity and skills to communicate it
- Capable of exerting influence and strong leadership
- Ability to listen, open-minded
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both Polish and English
- Expertise in design especially games
- Sufficient artistic eye to ensure that artistic direction is maintained
- Comprehension of marketing issues
- Experience with console and mobile platforms
- Familiarity with casual games market
VERY GOOD PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Photoshop
- 3D Studio/Maya
- Illustrator/Corel/Flash/In Design
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Agreeing the graphical look-and-feel for the proposal in co-operation with DTM (Design Team manager)
- Leading and supervising the games' vision, in collaboration with producers, salesmen, DTM, game designer on every phase of the project in all Gamelion locations
- Awareness of new trends, graphic technology and make sure we get "world-class" quality graphics.
- Active participation in creation process of corporal identity in co-operation with DTM and FAM (Financial and Administration Manager)
- Communicating with customer on design guideline on 2D/3D
- Communicating, supporting, and spreading the vision to the production team
- Managing ideas and building consensus
- Sit on Publishing Board to identify new Intellectual Property
- Understanding our competition and building strategy how to beat them
- Understanding the market demand levels for graphics and how to get above them
- Gathering information about team professional abilities/competences and monitoring current and future needs towards project requirements
- Measure, report and manage the productivity of the art team (revenue vs. costs vs. time)
